Meet Michelle Brown, MSN, APRN, FNP-BC

Michelle Brown, MSN, FNP-C, is a Family Nurse Practitioner specializing in orthopedic surgery support, with a clinical focus on spine and trauma care. She works closely with Dr. Elliott, one of OPA’s leading spine trauma surgeons, to ensure patients receive comprehensive, seamless care throughout their surgical journey—from preoperative planning to recovery and rehabilitation.

Michelle brings more than a decade of experience in high-acuity nursing environments to her orthopedic role. Her background in cardiovascular, neurological trauma, and post-surgical ICU care provides her with a unique understanding of surgical complexity, pain management, and the importance of coordinated, compassionate care. At OPA, she focuses on patient education, spine health, surgical optimization, and helping patients recover safely and confidently after injury or surgery.

Michelle earned her Master of Science in Nursing – Family Nurse Practitioner from Chamberlain University, graduating Summa Cum Laude, and completed more than 625 clinical hours in family medicine, internal medicine, women’s health, and pediatrics.

She is known for her calm, grounded approach, and for building trusted relationships with patients and families through clear communication, expert care, and genuine support.
