Hand Therapy

Hand therapy is a very specialized form of physical therapy. Technically, it’s “occupational” therapy because therapists help patients with both the orthopedic condition and learning new ways to negotiate the activities of daily living which are often impacted at least temporarily by hand and upper extremity issues.

About OPA Hand Therapy Services

All of the hand therapists at OPA are certified occupational therapists who specialize in hand, wrist, arm, elbow and shoulder conditions. They are all here to support, instruct and inspire patients to achieve their recovery goals and offer the latest, most advanced therapeutic techniques to do so. OPA hand therapists work one-on-one with patients to help restore mobility, relieve pain, and optimize (or avoid) surgical treatments.

At this time, all our hand therapists practice in Anchorage, where you’ll find:

  • Experienced providers.
  • The latest tools & equipment.
  • Apps to help facilitate home exercises.
  • Private evaluation rooms.
  • Massage Therapy.
