About

A life-long Alaskan, Eva Lyons, OTD, holds a doctorate degree in occupational therapy and specializes in hand, wrist, and upper arm rehabilitation. She brings both a wealth of knowledge and a passion for helping people through their recovery journey and helping them live life to the fullest.

Ms. Lyons excelled in her education, graduating Cum Laude with her Doctor of Occupational Therapy from Creighton University/UAA. She also holds a BS in Psychology from Washington State University at Pullman.

From fabricating splints to working with her patients to capitalize on a their individual capabilities, she is a therapist who focuses on techniques and strategies that work for each, unique person. Having broad fieldwork experience in rehabilitation for acute care, hand therapy and pediatrics, Ms. Lyons also brings to OPA experience and insights into working with individuals experiencing neurodevelopmental and related disabilities.

For many years, Ms. Lyons has played an integral role in the statewide successes of Special Olympics of Alaska, having served in key roles in the Anchorage area. When she's not helping others, she likely heading outdoors — to hike, play, and camp with her family and dogs.
