Meet Mitchell St. Clair, PT, DPT, OCS, CSCS

Mitchell St. Clair holds a doctorate in physical therapy from Briar Cliff University and is a Board-Certified Orthopaedic Clinical Specialist.

He launched his physical therapy career as a traveling PT, working in multiple locations and caring for a wide variety of patients. Passionate about fitness and an athlete himself, he naturally gravitated towards orthopedic assignments and after four contracts in Alaska, decided to stay.

Today he is a vital member of the OPA Therapy Services team in Wasilla. He is passionate about the field of physical therapy and seeks to improve the profession through active membership in the Alaska chapter of the American Physical Therapy Association. He volunteers his time to organize procedural and educational opportunities within OPA and the APTA Alaska chapter for his colleagues. His name joins the many providers seeking to move physical therapy knowledge forward via publication of research, co-authoring literature in The Journal of Clinical Education in Physical Therapy.

Mitchell’s treatment style focuses on evidence based interventions that provide the best opportunities for patient to reach their goals effectively. He empowers patient’s by increasing their understanding and independence, explaining treatment rational at all time. He pushes patient to reach their full potential through encouragement and supportive techniques.

When he’s not helping patients in the clinic, he enjoys many outdoor activities including hiking, fishing, camping, cross-country skiing, gardening, and home projects.
