Meet Peter Marbarger, PA-C

Peter Marbarger has dedicated his life to saving people from avalanches, wildfires, and life-threatening injuries. As a firefighter, EMT, and ski patrol leader, he became known for rescuing people from impossible situations. But it wasn’t enough. He wanted to help people fully recover and return to living healthy, active lives. So, he became a certified physician assistant.

After earning his bachelor’s degree in 2004 from the University of Maine, Peter took prerequisite courses at Keene State College and later at UAA in his hometown. Through the MEDEX program, he completed his physician assistant studies at the University of Washington in 2018.

Peter began his PA career in Anchorage, assisting an orthopedic spine surgeon, seeing patients in the clinic, and managing post-operative care for spine, trauma, total joint, and sports medicine patients. Today, he is a member of the OPA spine treatment team. When he’s not helping mountain bikers, skiers, surfers, and other active Alaskans, he’s out there with them.
