About
Tamara Brothers-McNeil, PA-C, brings over three decades of clinical experience to the OPA Pain Management team, with a special focus on chronic pain, addiction treatment, and interventional care. She has served patients in Alaska across pain clinics, occupational medicine, family practice, and military settings, offering thoughtful, comprehensive care to adult and geriatric populations.
Tamara is skilled in diagnosing complex pain conditions and developing personalized care plans that may include medication management, interventional procedures, and long-term wellness strategies. She is licensed to treat opioid and illicit drug addiction using buprenorphine/naloxone therapies and has extensive experience managing intrathecal pain pumps. She joins a multidisciplinary team at OPA dedicated to helping patients reduce pain, improve function, and regain quality of life.
Tamara earned her Bachelor of Science in Physician Assistant Studies from the University of Nebraska Medical Center and is certified by the NCCPA. She is a Fellow of the American Academy of Physician Assistants and the Society of Air Force Physician Assistants.
Her personal interests including rafting expeditions, snowboarding, hiking and fly fishing.
