Meet Ray Scherer, PTA

Raymond Scherer is a licensed Physical Therapy Assistant at Orthopedic Physicians Alaska, where he supports patients through evidence-based rehabilitation focused on restoring mobility, strength, and functional independence.

Raymond has extensive experience treating patients recovering from total knee and hip replacements, spinal surgeries (lumbar, thoracic, and cervical), fractures, stroke (CVA), and general deconditioning. His clinical background spans both hospital-based and outpatient settings, allowing him to adapt care plans to a wide range of orthopedic and neurologic needs.

In addition to traditional outpatient care, Raymond has worked in mobile outpatient physical therapy, helping patients remain safe and independent in their homes. His work includes fall prevention, caregiver education, endurance training, and home safety assessments—bringing practical, real-world rehabilitation directly to patients.
