About

Physical Therapist Mark Kasprowicz holds a doctorate in physical therapy from the University of Colorado and has a special interest in helping injured athletes and total joint replacement patients recover and return to their active lives. He also is a strong advocate for injury prevention.

Mr. Kasprowicz's experience includes post-operative management of total joint arthroplasties, arthroscopies, releases and reconstructions; return to sport rehabilitation — including concussion assessment and management; and working with the youth, military, elderly and the running community.

Prior to joining OPA, Mr. Kasprowicz worked in Sitka. In addition to treating physical therapy patients, he gave numerous community lectures on various topics including running, training for hunting, and BPPV (vertigo) as well as injury prevention lectures to the local U.S. Coast Guard Air Station. He also volunteered with Braveheart Volunteers, providing one-on-one support and group exercise classes to the elderly and with Sitka High School where he offered sideline injury screening and management during athletic events.

Mr. Kasprowicz grew up playing the violin and today enjoys hunting, spearfishing, snowboarding, motocross, trail running and yoga.
