About

Heath McAnally, MD, MSPH is a board-certified anesthesiologist and pain medicine physician who is committed to helping the people of southcentral Alaska improve their health in every way. He received both a Master’s degree in Public Health, and his M.D. from the University of Colorado School of Medicine, and completed his internship and residency in Anesthesiology at the University of Virginia. He completed an interventional pain fellowship with the Arizona Pain Specialists. He and his wife Jules arrived in Alaska in 2005 courtesy of the United States Air Force. Dr. McAnally served as an anesthesiologist and pain physician at then-Elmendorf AFB. After leaving the Air Force in 2008, he became part of the Providence Anesthesia Group prior to forming his own practice in 2010. He remains on staff as an anesthesiologist at Providence Alaska Medical Center, and is a clinical instructor for the University of Washington School of Medicine's Department of Anesthesiology and Pain Medicine.
