Meet Heath McAnally, MD

Heath McAnally, MD, MSPH is a board-certified anesthesiologist and pain physician who served as medical director of the 3rd Medical Group’s anesthesia department at Elmendorf AFB. After a tenure at Providence he formed and steered Northern Anesthesia & Pain Medicine until its closure.

He has served as Vice President of the Alaska Society of Interventional Pain Physicians, and has authored two academic textbooks on pain medicine as well as numerous peer-reviewed articles.

Currently he serves as director of pain management for OPA, and also serves as a Clinical Instructor in the University of Washington School of Medicine’s Department of Anesthesiology and Pain Medicine.

When not involved in clinical and academic efforts, he enjoys spending time outdoors, and at his parish (St. Andrew, Eagle River.)
