Dr. Olson is a board-certified physiatrist specializing in neuro-musculoskeletal medicine, interventional procedures and EMG (Electromyography).

Dr. Olson grew up in Minocqua, Wisconsin and has always had an interest in musculoskeletal medicine. His father and grandfather were both Osteopathic physicians and taught him about manipulative medicine. He also has a passion for working on mechanical systems. The year he started high school was the year he started work as an apprentice plumber. His skills helped him pay for college and, as a Biomedical Science major, helped deepen his understanding of the many different systems within the body. Dr. Olson’s interest in musculoskeletal pain management and interventional treatments/procedures, led him back to the University of Wisconsin where he completed his Residency in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation.

Dr. Olson received his Bachelors of Science in Biomedical Science from the University of Wisconsin where he graduated summa cum laude. He earned his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine in Kirksville, Missouri with a focus on whole person healthcare. While at Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine Dr. Olson earned his certification in cranial osteopathy and became a doctor of osteopathic medicine.

Dr. Olson moved to Alaska in 2012 to be closer to his family, his wife being with the air force. When he is not at work, you can find Dr. Olson enjoying time with his wife and children in the great Alaskan outdoors. He enjoys hunting, fishing, wood working, skiing, mountain biking and traveling.

Today Dr. Olson helps patients use their neuro-muscular systems to their advantage to help patients find pain relief and get the most out of life.

When not working, Dr. Olson is himself getting the most out of life as a hunter, fisher, skier, mountain biker, traveler, wood-worker, and drummer.
