Meet Brittany Sedlacek, PA-C

Brittany Sedlacek, PA-C, graduated Cum Laude from the University of Alaska Anchorage with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology in 2009. She earned her M.S. in Medical Science from the University of St. Francis in 2012 and completed advanced physician assistant clinical training through Stanford University School of Medicine, where she received the Student of Achievement Award.

As a bilingual (Spanish-speaking) physician assistant, Brittany is committed to providing compassionate, patient-centered care. Her background in psychology and medicine allows her to take a holistic approach to treatment, recognizing the important connection between physical health, emotional well-being, and quality of life.

Since 2017, Brittany has specialized exclusively in rheumatology, caring for patients with autoimmune and inflammatory conditions such as rheumatoid arthritis, psoriatic arthritis, lupus, polymyalgia rheumatica, vasculitis, and gout. She is passionate about patient education and empowering individuals to actively participate in their treatment decisions.

Brittany has served as Lead Rheumatology Physician Assistant at OPA since 2021. She is actively involved in advancing rheumatology education and professional development through her work with the Rheumatology Advanced Practice Providers (RhAPP) organization. She serves on the RhAPP Mentorship Committee and is a regular speaker at the annual RhAPP national conference, where she shares clinical expertise and best practices with advanced practice providers from across the country.

In addition, Brittany serves on the Board of Directors for the Alaska Rheumatology Alliance, supporting efforts to improve access to rheumatology care, education, and advocacy throughout Alaska.

Outside of work, Brittany enjoys spending time with her husband and four children, as well as distance running, hiking, travel, and exploring the outdoors that make Alaska such a special place to call home.
