About
Ashley Wagner, PTA, joined Orthopedic Physicians Alaska (OPA) in October 2024, bringing a strong passion for patient mobility, post-surgical rehabilitation, and functional recovery. With experience in both skilled nursing and outpatient rehabilitation, she is dedicated to helping patients regain strength, independence, and confidence in their movement.
Ashley earned her Associate of Science in Physical Therapist Assisting from the University of Alaska Anchorage in 2021, graduating Magna Cum Laude, and also holds an Associate of Science in Business Administration from Kaplan University (2014). She is a Graston Technique Certified clinician, a CrossFit Level 2 Trainer, and has completed advanced coursework in differential diagnosis and musculoskeletal management of the spine, SI joint, knee, and shoulder.
Her background includes extensive experience treating post-operative orthopedic patients, including total knee and hip replacements, spinal fusions, rotator cuff repairs, and complex gait abnormalities. She also has training in aquatic therapy, wound care management, and neurologic rehabilitation, helping individuals recover from conditions such as strokes, Parkinson’s disease, multiple sclerosis, and traumatic brain injuries.
Ashley believes that caring for people is both a privilege and a calling. She is motivated by the opportunity to empower patients through every stage of their recovery, celebrating both small and major milestones as they regain independence. She thrives on offering reassurance and encouragement while applying the latest therapy techniques to optimize patient outcomes.
Originally from Texas, Ashley moved to Alaska in 2001 and has lived in multiple locations across the state, including Kodiak, Valdez, and Wasilla. After moving around the U.S. with her husband during his military career, she is excited to have finally settled in Wasilla, where she enjoys hiking, camping, fishing, and spending time with her husband and kids.
