Meet Amy Bates, PTA

Amy Bates joined the Orthopedic Physicians Alaska team in September 2024 and brings with her a passion for servant leadership and specialized care. As a military spouse, Amy thrives in making each duty station a place of joy and teamwork. She believes in treating every patient with individualized attention, ensuring that each person feels like the only one in the room. Through active listening and a compassionate approach, Amy aims to deliver care that respects each patient’s unique concerns.

Amy earned her Associate of Applied Science degree as a Physical Therapist Assistant from South University in 2012, graduating with honors and making the Dean’s List. She is a certified ASTYM provider and Rocktape provider, bringing valuable skills to help her patients recover from post-op and musculoskeletal conditions.

When not at work, Amy enjoys exploring Alaska with her husband through hiking and camping, teaching indoor cycling at JBER, and staying active in her church.
