Meet Beth Spence, OTR/L, CHT

Beth Spence, MOT, OTR/L, CHT, is a board-certified occupational therapist and Certified Hand Therapist (CHT) with over a decade of experience in upper extremity rehabilitation. She specializes in the evaluation and treatment of hand, wrist, elbow, and shoulder conditions—helping patients recover from injury, surgery, and chronic conditions to return to their daily activities and work.

Beth earned her Master of Occupational Therapy from Bay Path University and has practiced in a wide range of settings, including orthopedic practices, outpatient clinics, hospitals, and hand therapy centers. Her expertise includes custom orthosis fabrication, manual therapy, post-surgical protocols, repetitive stress injury care, and functional training for activities of daily living. She has provided both preventive and rehabilitative services for patients with trauma, arthritis, tendon injuries, fractures, and complex upper extremity diagnoses.

She has been part of collaborative physician-led hand therapy teams and is passionate about evidence-based, patient-focused care. Beth’s continuing education includes advanced coursework in flexor tendon repair, upper quadrant assessment, pain science, dry needling, and specialized hand and upper extremity rehabilitation conferences.
