Meet Michelle Lacey, PT, DPT, OCS, COMT
Michelle is a lifelong Alaskan, born and raised in Anchorage and a graduate of Service High School. She returned to Alaska in 2008.
Ms. Lacey holds a doctorate of physical therapy, having graduated with distinction from Pacific University in Forest Grove, Oregon in 2007. She earned her undergraduate degree in biology with a minor in psychology – graduating suma cum laude – from Minnesota State University-Moorhead in Moorhead, Minnesota. She earned advanced Certification of Orthopedic Manual therapy (COMT) from Kaiser Permanente Orthopedic Manual Therapy Residency and International Academy of Orthopedic Medicine (IAOM). She has been treating concussion and vestibular patients since 2018 with certifications from American Institute of Balance, American Academy of Manipulative Therapy and taken the Vestibular Comprehensive class through Duke and Emory Universities.
As an athlete herself, she has always had a passion for helping all types of athletes – school, professional and weekend warriors. Her patients at OPA appreciate her innovative solutions and enthusiastic, motivational style that help ensure successful therapeutic results.
Outside of work, Michelle spends much of her time at her children’s athletics events, fishing, camping, exploring with her family and 2 dogs.
