Meet Cristina Copus, DO

Dr. Cristina Copus is a board-certified, fellowship-trained rheumatologist with a background in internal medicine, osteopathic medicine and a personal mission to help others achieve better health.

Cristina graduated Cum Laude from Texas A&M University with an eager and growing passion to help others.  She went on to earn her medical degree from the University of North Texas and then completed her internal medicine residency at Baylor Scott and White Hospital.  During her training, she developed a keen interest in rheumatology due to the wide spectrum of complicated disease processes that the specialty focuses on, as well as an appreciation for the unique opportunity that rheumatologists have to establish close, life-long relationships with their patients.

After internal medicine residency training,  Dr. Copus completed a rheumatology fellowship at Georgetown University Hospital in 2021, and subsequently made the move back to her hometown of Anchorage, Alaska to help care for patients in her home community.  When not helping others,  she is out exploring Alaska and enjoying fishing and camping with friends and family.
