Kris Giani has been saving lives for many years – and now he’s focused on enhancing them.
The first 10 years of his firefighting career was spent as a fire officer conducting fire and rescue operations with the Central Mat-Su Fire Department. The next decade Mr. Giani dedicated to working for the Department of Defense, stationed at Fort Wainwright. There he served as lead medic, crew chief, driver operator, and firefighter on medical and rescue emergencies.
In 2016, Mr. Giani earned a bachelor’s of Health Science from MEDEX in Seattle – and transitioned from being a paramedic to a provider.
As a certified physicians assistant, Mr. Giani has worked for years in family medicine and is now a vital member of the OPA rheumatology team.
Mr. Giani has lived in Alaska since 1983 and today when he’s not helping his patients, he’s likely out hunting, fishing, camping, hiking, snow machining, boating, watching his two boys play hockey or otherwise enjoying Alaska with family.

I see Kris Giani at OPA in Wasilla. He is great and very knowledgeable. All my questions are answered in terms I can understand. He gives you the time you need and you never feel rushed, even if they are running behind schedule.
