About

Physician Assistant Kim Hand holds a master’s degree in Physician Studies and is an experienced orthopedic urgent care provider. Before joining OPA in 2022, she worked at a Level II trauma center, and she also has experience as a surgical first assist, working on complex specialty cases such as scoliosis corrections, disc removal and fusions, and disc replacement.

Today at the OPA Anchorage and Eagle River orthopedic walk-in clinics, she helps patients get on the road to recovery – with precise evaluations, immediate fracture care, casting and splinting, post-operative treatment, and more.

When not helping her fellow Alaskans recover from their activities, she’s out enjoying her own – hiking, snowshoeing, swimming, scuba diving, backpacking, camping, Nordic skiing & skijoring, live music & theatre, kayaking, cooking, travel, gardening, and dog park excursions.
