Knee Replacement & Hip Replacement

KATHY:

“I had a full knee replacement of my left knee by Dr. Robert Hall in August of 2006. My primary physician — who takes excellent care of me and always knows the perfect specialist to send me to — recommended OPA.

“I also had osteoarthritis that just kept getting worse and worse and I developed a really nasty bone spur. The patella would pop across and just send me to the moon. I got to a point where I could no longer walk. It was really extremely painful and I couldn’t drive and my quality of life had really deteriorated horribly.

“So I came to see Dr. Hall about it and he replaced this knee with a titanium one that works perfectly. I can do whatever I need to do now! I can walk, I can drive, I can go to Curves and work out — it has just changed my life so dramatically it is wonderful.

“Dr. Hall is just excellent. He puts you through a joint camp before the surgery where you learn all about it, everything you could possibly want to know, what to expect, what to do to prepare for the surgery, what is going to happen afterward, and you get no nasty surprises at all. You know exactly what is going on and it makes everything so easy. It is really great.

“He did such a beautiful job of it. There is just a very tiny thin line of a scar, a perfectly straight line, and he was so good with the physical therapy side of it, telling me how to take care of it and what to do and sending me to a physical therapist and it just healed so terrifically and I am so pleased with it.

“Also, coming to the OPA office is very calming and peaceful. I love the colors, I love the decor, and it is so easy to get in to see the doctor. There are these little discs that beep when it is your turn to go and it never takes very long. I have had shorter wait periods with Dr. Hall than with any other doctor I have ever seen.

“I really appreciate the comfort, the wonderful people who work here and even the billing setup. They can pull you up on that computer so fast and find everything they need to find on it so quickly and shoot it all out to you so fast. You don’t have to wait around till they find where your files are and this and that. Everything is on there right now. It is really cool state-of-the-art. It is like science fiction! It’s neat. To me, all these details tell me that I am getting the best medical care.”

JIM:

“I had a complete left hip replacement by Dr. Hall in December of 2003. I went to physical therapy first for about a month and finally the therapist said there was nothing more they could do; the hip would have to be replaced. It got to a point where I could hardly walk and I couldn’t sit for more than two minutes. I had to stand up and finally I just broke down and saw Dr. Hall and he said we gotta replace that — and he did.

“After the surgery and some physical therapy and exercise, it is just like new! I really have the greatest respect for Dr. Hall. I think he is just the greatest guy; he’s a professional and expert physician and I thank him deeply for restoring my quality of life — that’s what Dr. Hall has done for me.
