Ms. Gilmore earned her bachelor’s of science degree in Athletic Training and her bachelor’s of arts degree in Spanish from South Dakota University, Brookings, SD. She has been a licensed athletic trainer in Florida, Georgia, Nevada and now Alaska.

Kimberly has worked with high school, international league and collegiate athletes in a wide variety of sports and settings. She is exceptionally experienced in preventing, diagnosing and rehabilitating chronic and acute athletic injuries. As a preceptor, she mentored students pursuing their bachelor’s degrees in athletic training at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. Kimberly developed a passion for motivating and educating her students and brings that same passion to her patients at OPA.

Prior to joining OPA, Kimberly worked as an athletic trainer in Georgia, Florida and Nevada. Her responsibilities included providing athletic training coverage to local high schools for all sports and athletes, consulting with other health care providers, providing first aid, diagnosis and treatment of injuries and developing rehabilitation programs.

Kimberly is a dedicated and outgoing athletic trainer who enjoys working closely with athletes to ensure safety and optimal athletic performance. Special areas of interest include concussion education, prevention, management and rehabilitation. When she's not montioring athletes in the field, you find her hiking in the hills, climbing mountains. She also enjoys swimming and traveling.
